Say YES to
Youth Engaged in Service (YES)
There is a wonderful opportunity for our Indian Hills students to give back to their communities and to take part in some very rewarding experiences. Its YES Club! YES Club is more than just doing community service to accrue service hours. It is a way to help shape the children’s moral character and a great way to teach them empathy, a trait that will help them succeed both now and later in every area of their life.
Please feel free to email me so I can put your family on the Yes Club distribution list. All activities will take place outside of school hours. We will plan on doing our service days on early dismissal days, or the weekdays that the students have off.
We will be doing a volunteer event the following Months:
(waiting to hear back and may add a date in November)
If your student volunteered this summer, or if they do any other volunteer opportunities not with the school, be sure to still track those volunteer hours.
Remember, it takes 50 hours of service between 4/1/2019 and 4/1/2020 to earn a bronze level award, 75 hours to earn a silver award, and 100 hours to earn a gold award. More information can be found at http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/
Thank you! We look forward to working with you and your amazing children! We hope you all have a wonderful school year!
