Summer Programs

Different types of classes are offered in the district over the summer months. Each is designed to meet the individual needs of students.

Summer Academy classes are similar to regular school year classes that high school students take at their home school. For courses required for graduation or advancement, student and parent should consult with their high school counselor prior to enrollment. Core classes are for credit recovery only. Students must enroll in the corresponding session in which the course credit is required. Students may enroll in one class per session. Some courses may be taught online through Edgenuity.

Summer Enrichment classes are for students currently in grades K-7. Additionally, for students meeting class age requirements, there is a pre-k class for early learners. All classes are designed to develop new interests and skills through participatory learning activities. These classes are opportunities for students to enjoy new learning that is not based on school district regular curriculum.

Summer Music is a great way to stay in "playing shape" over the summer months. Summer Band Blast for students in grades 5-8 is a mix of band rehearsals, small ensembles, and sectionals that gives players of every playing level an opportunity to improve their skills in each of these settings.
